I have seen many people with a “small money mentality” recruit their friends, family and neighbors. Usually these people make “small money” to go with that mentality. These people say things like, “Oh, I just want to make enough money to pay for my product, and umm, maybe buy a few groceries.” Really? The question is, are you one of those “small money mentality” people? Is that actually why you got into network marketing is to make just a little bit of extra money? If you have a dream and you really want to go somewhere with your life, then you better work on changing your mindset.

What types of people are you talking to about your opportunity? Are you talking to the people who can help you build an empire, or are you talking to other “small money mentality” people, or the dreamers and the bench-warmers? If you are, you are setting yourself up for massive failure and disappointment. The question is, why are you talking to all of these “small money mentality” people? Aren’t you tired of trying to talk people into buying things that they think they can’t afford anyway? It’s kind of like trying to run a marathon on a treadmill, you can’t go anywhere, and it just doesn’t work!

So what can you do to change what you are doing and create a “BIG MONEY MENTALITY”? It’s really pretty simple. You just have to decide that you will do what it takes to make that big money. IT IS A CHOICE! You either decide to have a “small money mentality” and talk to others who feel the same way that you do, or you decide to get out of your comfort zone and talk to the “BIG MONEY MENTALITY” people. Yes, it is pretty unnerving at first, but the more you do it, the better you get.

Did you ever notice that the times when you were really successful and happy in your life were times when you did things that made you push yourself to the very edge of your comfort zone? You can’t solve your financial problems by doing the same things that created them in the first place. Need proof? Just take a look at what the “BIG MONEY MENTALITY” people who are the “HEAVY HITTERS” in the industry are doing. Who are they talking to? Do they know every other “HEAVY HITTER” in the industry and have exclusive rights to them? Of course not! You have as much chance at recruiting “HEAVY HITTERS” as they do, if you will just decide to step outside of your comfort zone. I can tell you one thing, it’s never boring! It’s actually quite exhilarating.

So, what is the definition of a “HEAVY HITTER”? It is someone who has been there and done that! Someone who has built large networks before, made massive amounts of money, and can do it again. How do you find these people? You find them through genealogy leads lists, and by researching which companies have been having financial issues. Are you willing to talk to a lot of powerful “HEAVY HITTERS” who will tell you that they aren’t interested, just to find a few who say they are? I am! It only takes a few good “HEAVY HITTERS” who are great recruiters to build yourself a massive empire! If it took you 6 months to find them, and those few “HEAVY HITTERS” helped you to grow your organization to 10,000 people, would it be worth your time? Can you grow an organization that large all by yourself? Of course not.

What do the “HEAVY HITTERS” do that you aren’t doing? They talk to other “HEAVY HITTERS”, and they take “MASSIVE ACTION” to recruit as fast and furious as their time allows. It is called a “90 DAY BLITZ”. As a matter of fact, the really serious “hitters” will do a series of 3 or 4 consecutive “90 DAY BLITZ” stints with only a few week off to rest in between. They know that this is they only proven strategy for building a massive downline very quickly. These “hitters” are not recruiting their friends, family, neighbors, or people new to network marketing. They are not chasing their warm market, and they aren’t looking for work from home opportunity seekers. They are not sitting around making new friends on Facebook for hours at a time either. They don’t rely on luck, flyers, email spamming, or “the 3-foot rule”. They know that it’s not about “wishful thinking”! This is how the “HEAVY HITTERS” PLAY THE GAME OF NETWORK MARKETING! This is the way to make those BIG COMMISSION CHECKS as fast as possible. There is only one thing that 99% of the top earners in this industry do. That one thing is, GOING AFTER THE “HEAVY HITTERS”!

So why don’t people go after the “HEAVY HITTERS”? Why aren’t there more people making the BIG money? Because they are afraid to get out of their comfort zone! They are afraid of what other people will think of them. They lack confidence in themselves. They are afraid to talk to people that they perceive as be “better than them”. It could even be the fact that their upline told them to go after their warm market and recruit their family, friends and neighbors.

Are these “HEAVY HITTERS” really some superior race of people that are better than you? Of course not! What makes them different is that they have made a choice. They have made the choice to talk to other people who have been successful in the network marketing industry – to talk to other “HEAVY HITTERS”. They have also made the choice to work consistently and diligently to build their organization. So what should you do if you want to be successful and earn life-changing income in network marketing?
